Please join us Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the Watertown Ag Pavilion (next to the railroad tracks on S Central Ave / Sparta Pike)
We will begin the ceremony at 12:00 PM (noon)
Watertown will again host an observance and memorial of the events of September 11, 2001.
Watertown Police Chief Mike Henderlight, Watertown Volunteer Fire Department Chief Blake Haun, Sheriff Robert Bryan, Wilson County Emergency Management Chief Joey Cooper, 911 Director Karen Moore, and their staffs and officers/personnel, have been invited, along with Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto, and others.
In light of the emergency personnel response in our community just a couple of weeks ago to the threat of a school shooter, this is a chance for we, as the public, to offer them our Thanks and express our appreciation to them.
Jeremy Reich, Special Agent with the Tennessee Office of Homeland Security, will be our guest speaker that day.
And, as always, our outstanding Watertown High School Band and/or choir will provide musical presentations.
While we will have folding chairs set up, you may want to bring your lawn chairs with you.
