July Parade 2024 Application

Theme: Stars, Stripes and Squirtguns

Once again the Watertown Chamber of Commerce is hosting our annual parade in Watertown in honor of Independence Day, the Fourth of July! We are quickly becoming known for our tradition of ‘getting wet’ and we will continue again this year! Bring your squirt guns because it’s time for "Stars, Stripes and Squirt Guns"!

Again this year there will be a NO-squirt zone. At the end of the parade we will have a section of participants who do NOT wish to get wet, and will NOT be carrying any squirt guns or water. While we all enjoy getting a little wet on a hot July afternoon, there are some who can not, however they do wish to participate and honor our Independence Day tradition. If you would like to enter the parade and NOT get wet there is a section on the entry form to indicate this.

ABSOLUTELY NO WATER BALLOONS ALLOWED! The Parade starts at Round Lick Baptist Church and proceeds East down Main Street and ends at Sparta Pike / Highway 70.

Fireworks at Dusk

Fireworks will be in the same location again this year - in the fields behind Three Forks Park, so grab a lawn chair and join your neighbors!

The actual start time depends on the weather and the darkness - the show is best enjoyed in the dark!

Once again the Watertown fireworks are sponsored by the City of Watertown and the Watertown Chamber of Commerce - and this year Historic Watertown has also joined to make our annual show the best ever!
